At Laidback Lee Design, we believe a beautiful interior should also be one you can relax in. Our signature style blends sophisticated refinement with warmth and ease, spaces that look considered without feeling untouchable.

We work closely with every client to understand not just how they want their home to look, but how they want to feel in it. From the first consultation to the final styling, we're with you every step of the way — taking the stress out of the process so you can enjoy the journey.

Whether you're building from scratch, renovating, or simply ready for a refresh — we'd love to help bring your vision to life.

Welcome to LaidbackLee.

Ethos

Our mission is simple: to make great design feel effortless. We bring together considered finishes, soulful styling, and genuine attention to detail — not to show off, but to create spaces our clients love coming home to. Every project is personal, and we treat it that way.

Ten years of beautiful spaces. See the work.

About

Stephanie Ferrara founded Laidback Lee Design after more than a decade working across editorial styling, residential design, and the homewares industry. She holds an Honours degree in Design from UNSW Art & Design, and has built a studio around one core belief: that the best spaces are ones you can actually live in.

Today, Stephanie leads a team of like-minded designers working on projects across Sydney and beyond — from full renovations and new builds to considered styling and bespoke joinery. The studio is always evolving, always collaborative, and always guided by her signature laidback-yet-refined aesthetic.

In the bathrooms, Stephanie truly outdid herself. She crafted two distinct spaces that were both special and unique.

Her choice of fixtures and finishes elevated the rooms, and the niches she recommended have become a standout feature that consistently garners compliments from our guests.

Working with Stephanie Ferrara on our South Coogee interiors and renovation project was an absolute pleasure.
