In her early/mid-20’s, Stephanie officially began her studies as an Interior Designer and enrolled at UNSW Art and Design and graduated with Honours.
Having spent the first years of her career within the design industry, Stephanie sought out a more personal relationship with her clients and thus, Laidbacklee Design was born. Stephanie acted on a career goal - and launched her own business for likeminded designers to collaborate and for cliental who shared a love for the same aesthetics to get in touch!
With 5 years on the tools as a business owner and founder and 10+ years as an interior designer, Stephanie is ever evolving and loves to push boundaries in any which way she can!

Stephanie Ferrara’s journey in Interior Design spans across Commercial, Furniture, and Residential design - But this isn’t where our story begins - Let’s go back to the early 00’s.
Arranging, decorating, and rearranging again, she frequently spent days perfecting her bedroom. Travelling often with her mother to visit trash-and-treasure markets all over Sydney, Stephanie quickly became fluent in combining decor and furniture pieces from across styles and eras.
With a passion for transforming spaces into functional and aesthetically pleasing environments, Stephanie Ferrara is a distinguished interior designer known for her unique and innovative approach to interior design.

Laidback Lee Design is a high-end residential and commercial studio based in Sydney. Our studio is founded by Stephanie Ferrara, an interior designer who lives and breathes everything design following extensive experience both nationally and internationally. Made up of a team of likeminded and passionate creatives, Laidback Lee Design is a studio that focuses on reinventing space into something beautiful, dynamic, and polished.
Our signature laidback and sophisticated style has allowed us to create in a way that our clients are able to easily live in and enjoy. As a studio, we morph the definition of our signature taste with contemporary demands, personalising a unique and catered experience for our clients and their needs.
